Zack Baun signed a 1-year, $3.5 million “prove it” deal with the Eagles last offseason and switched from EDGE rusher to middle linebacker. Baun broke out at his new position, boasting career-highs in virtually every major defensive category, including tackles, TFLs, sacks, pass deflections, and forced fumbles.
Baun recorded 151 tackles, 11 TFLs, 3.5 sacks, one interception, four pass deflections, and five forced fumbles in 16 starts, representing 939 snaps. He also had 33 tackles, two TFLs, two interceptions, three pass deflections, and one forced fumble in the postseason. His efforts earned him his first Pro Bowl and First-Team All-Pro selection, and he finished fifth in Defensive Player of the Year voting.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Eagles and Zack Baun have agreed to a massive multi-year contract extension. As Schefter points out, the deal is for three years and is worth $51 million, including $34 million guaranteed at signing, plus $1.5 million in incentives.
