The 9-2 Philadelphia Eagles traveled to Maryland to face off against the 8-4 Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium for an exciting afternoon game on CBS. The Eagles’ passing attack must capitalize off the Ravens’ struggling pass defense, which allows the most passing yards and the third-most passing touchdowns. Sunday would be a great day to have their talented receiver back in the lineup if he’s healthy enough to play.
The Philadelphia Eagles WR2 has been nursing a lingering injury for quite some time
DeVonta Smith popped up on Week 10’s injury report with a hamstring injury but managed to play against the Dallas Cowboys. Smith suited up for their Week 11 game against the Washington Commanders on Thursday night, but he aggravated his hamstring injury during the game. As a result, he did not participate during practice last week and missed their Week 12 game against the Los Angeles Rams last Sunday night.
He is a game-time decision
DeVonta Smith did not participate on Wednesday but upgraded to a limited participant for Thursday and Friday and carried a questionable designation for Week 13. According to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, Smith will test out his hamstring during pre-game warmups before the Eagles make a final decision regarding his availability. The team will release their mandated inactive players list 90 minutes before kickoff, which will determine the former Heisman winner’s availability.

Will the Philadelphia Eagles play it safe or risk another injury?
Since DVS is battling a lingering hamstring injury, which has negatively affected him for quite some time, it would be wise for the Eagles to sit him out for at least one more game unless he is healthy enough to play or fully recovered. They need him healthy near the end of the regular season when they’re ready to make a deep playoff run. They cannot afford another injury to their already thin receiving corps outside him, A.J. Brown, and Dallas Goedert.
