The Philadelphia Eagles won the Super Bowl for the second time in franchise history against the Kansas City Chiefs this year in Super Bowl LVI. Philadelphia dominated the game from start to finish and won the game by a final score of 40-22.

The Eagles defense did not give up a point in the first half against the Chiefs. Philadelphia sacked quarterback Patrick Mahomes several times in the game. It was amazing what the Philadelphia Eagles defensive line did all game long against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Philadelphia Eagles Rookie Defensive Lineman Jalyx Hunt Talks About Team Meeting Before the Super Bowl Parade

On Thursday before the Super Bowl Parade that occurred on Friday, rookie Jalyx Hunt talked about what transpired during a team meeting with defensive coordinator Vic Fangio. Hunt said on PeteTakes:
“After we won the Super Bowl, I think we had the parade Friday. On Thursday, we came in for a team meeting to let everybody know how the parade was gonna go. The offense dips out. Vic was like ‘Ah nah, defense come here.’ He goes over … we have a checklist. A checklist each game of what we need to do. And if you get a yes in those boxes, nine times out of 10 — win. Did we win? Yes. Did we hold them to less than four explosive plays? Yes. Did we win on third-down conversions? Yes. Did we win on fourth-down conversions? Did we stop them in the red zone? Did we miss tackles? Did we sack [Patrick] Mahomes?”
Those were some of the interesting checkboxes that the Philadelphia Eagles had to take care of during the Super Bowl. It also felt strange that there would be a team meeting right before the Super Bowl parade. They won it all and what more did they want to prove? However, Jalyn Hunt also added:
“Like each thing. He goes to just the first-half stats. We stopped them here, they got like -55 yards. This is unacceptable. Circles the second half. Unacceptable. 22 points. We won. They didn’t score in the first half. We’re having a meeting after the Super Bowl. He wants perfection.”
This past season, the Eagles had one of the most talented defenses in the NFL. To no surprise, it wasn’t a shock to see why Fangio was upset with having a bad second half for Philadelphia’s defense even with the game being out of reach for Kansas City. Yes, he might want perfection but football is also a sport that is also an imperfect game. Philadelphia’s defense also forced a couple of turnovers and everyone will remember Cooper DeJean’s pick-six also.
