The Philadelphia Eagles’ star tight end, Dallas Goedert, faced an uncertain future heading into his eighth season. After signing Kylen Granson and Harrison Bryant, there were reports that the team was looking to shop him during the offseason, seeking at least a fourth-round pick in return. Ultimately, the Eagles couldn’t find a trade suitor, with Goedert entering the final year of his deal.

The Philadelphia Eagles reached a resolution

The Eagles and Dallas Goedert agreed to a $4.25 million pay reduction in May in exchange for a fully guaranteed $10 million salary and up to $1 million in incentives. He was originally scheduled to earn a $1.255 million base salary, a $11.81 million cap hit, and $14.25 million in total cash. As a result, Goedert’s $1.255 million base salary stays the same, but his total cash drops to $10 million, and his cap hit drops to $10.71 million in 2025.
