Players will report to training camp next week. The season is upon us, Rams fans. With the season beginning soon, many high-end talents are available as free agents. Pro Football Focus created an article naming one player each team should acquire before the start of camp. Rather, in the case of the Rams, bring back.
The pick for the Rams is a familiar face. He was with the team during the 2018 Super Bowl run, which came up just short of a championship. Ndamukong Suh was the player mentioned for the Rams to pick up.
“The Rams only really seem to make splash moves,” Doug Kyed wrote. “Suh has also expressed interest in signing with the Las Vegas Raiders, but heading back to the Rams would give him a chance for another Super Bowl ring.”

The Rams have a little over $7.5 million in cap space to strike a deal with Suh to bring him back to Los Angeles. However, that will come with a caveat.
Suh would need to take a pay cut from his usual pay to come back to the team.
Not counting a signing bonus, Suh has garnered a pay of $8 million or more as a professional. Unfortunately, for the Rams, there are other suitors for Suh that can pay him his minimum salary. However, those teams are not as championship ready as the Rams.
To bring back Suh, the Rams would need to convince the former All-Pro talent that they are the best squad to join if he wants another championship to add to his collection.
Suh would join an elite unit
The Rams have the best defensive line in the NFL, according to Pro Football Focus. Suh joining the team would make it even more fearsome.
Aaron Donald is always a player for defenses to pay attention to. Greg Gaines ate in the trenches last year as he broke out for the Rams. If added to that, Suh would make the defense lethal. Not to mention A’Shawn Robinson would serve as the best depth lineman in, perhaps, league history.
In the back, Jalen Ramsey wants to prove that he is not overrated. Additionally, Troy Hill has a chip on his shoulder for how little the Rams had to give up to bring back the corner. Bobby Wagner and Ernest Jones covering the middle is also a good pairing.
Suh would join many former teammates in Los Angeles if he took a pay cut to come back. Maybe he would finish where he left off as a Ram. Only this time, the team could win the Super Bowl.
