The Super Bowl halftime show just became a political arena of football. Turning Point USA announced Thursday it will host a rival event to counter Bad Bunny’s official performance at Super Bowl 60.

The conservative organization is calling it “The All-American Halftime Show.” It promises a celebration of “faith, family, and freedom” as an alternative to the NFL booking of Bad Bunny.
The announcement was made via social media with minimal details. There was no broadcast information, just a promise that something was coming.
Turning Point USA Launches ‘All-American Halftime Show’ to Protest Super Bowl 60 Performance
The criticism over Bad Bunny’s selection for the Super Bowl halftime is nothing new for the football community. After a series of backlashes, Charlie Kirk’s organization has now become the latest voice against the NFL’s booking decision.
They dropped the news on X with a straightforward message: “It’s true, Turning Point USA is thrilled to announce The All American Halftime Show. Performers and event details are coming soon.”
The post linked to a survey asking fans to select preferred music genres. Options included “Anything in English,” “Americana,” and “Worship.” The website states the show will celebrate “faith, family, and freedom.”

Before TPUSA’s plan, House Speaker Mike Johnson called booking Bad Bunny “a terrible decision,” suggesting country singer Lee Greenwood would attract a “broader audience.”
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said ICE agents would be “all over” the Super Bowl, claiming only “law-abiding Americans who love this country” should attend the game.
Hall of Fame running back Eric Dickerson told TMZ that if Bad Bunny dislikes the United States, he should “keep his ass where he’s at.” But the Grammy-winning singer has been facing this negativity for so long.
His recent tour didn’t include U.S. dates because he feared ICE agents would be “outside” his concerts. He posted video footage of what he described as ICE operations in Puerto Rico, calling the agents “motherf——s” in Spanish.
Given the messed-up situation, NFL fans aren’t just talking politics. Many are now signing petitions, showing how serious the split really is.
NFL Fans Launch Petition to Replace Controversial Super Bowl Halftime Performer
A petition titled “Replace Bad Bunny in the Super Bowl Halftime Show” has gathered over 5,500 signatures. The petition creator wrote they don’t condone racism but believe “the Super Bowl halftime show needing an act with broader appeal across genres and audiences.”
So, plenty of fans supporting Turning Point USA’s alternate show flooded social media with reactions. The responses reveal sharp cultural divides over what American entertainment should look like.
One fan wrote, “I’m so Glad. I speak Spanish but I don’t understand a single thing of what Bad Bunny says, and the little parts that I do understand are Vulgar. Thanks Turning Point.”
The second fan claimed, “Woah, they should get some Puerto Rican and Guam representation for this All American Halftime Show! Would be absolutely epic!”
A third noted, “That I will watch. Thank you We are all Charlie Kirk.”
A fourth claimed, “Spending time with fellow believers of the spotless Lamb of God watching Turning Point USA in one half time is better than a thousand half times watching bad bunny! Jesus is Lord of lords and King of kings.”
Following the announcement, people will wonder how Turning Point’s plan will actually work. To watch the alternate show, viewers would need to switch away from the Super Bowl entirely.
That’s asking fans to abandon the biggest sporting event of the year during its most anticipated segment. Whether the alternate show will be livestreamed, televised, or held as an in-person event remains unclear.
