Penn State Nittany Lions Drew Allar Speaks To the Media After the Win

This was the first time since last season’s opener against the West Virginia Mountaineers where he threw for at least 300 yards. Drew Allar is going to need more passing games like this season since he could be one of the quarterbacks taken in the 2025 NFL Draft and also have them in playoff contention.
Allar spoke to Sam Woloson of Sports Illustrated after the game and said about the playmakers he has on offense:
“It just shows how many playmakers we have. Obviously we wanted to get them more involved in the first two weeks of the season, but unfortunately we weren’t able to, but they took advantage of their opportunities today.”
Allar this season has completed 70.9% of his passes for 729 yards, eight touchdowns, and one interception. Wide receiver Omari Evans has caught eight passes for 205 yards receiving and two touchdowns this season, along with averaging 25.6 yards per catch. Evans caught four passes for 116 yards and a touchdown on Saturday, along with averaging 29.0 yards per catch.
Drew Allar’s top target is tight end Tyler Warren. Warren has caught 16 passes for 226 yards receiving and two touchdowns, along with averaging 14.1 yards per catch. Warren has caught five passes for 50 yards receiving and a touchdown, along with averaging 10.0 yards per catch.
Big Matchup Against #20 Illinois Fighting Illini

The Penn State Nittany Lions will host the #20 Illinois Fighting Illini on Saturday night with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC. Penn State is 3-0 entering this game and Illinois is 4-0 entering this game and 1-0 in BIG10 Conference play. The Illinois Fighting Illini defeated the Nebraska Cornhuskers 31-24 in overtime on Friday night.
Drew Allar will need to outperform Illinois quarterback Luke Altmyer who completed 21-of-27 passes for 215 yards and four touchdowns against Nebraska.
