The Penn State Nittany Lions elite EDGE rusher battled a significant injury during the CFP

Abdul Carter suffered a left arm/shoulder injury in the second quarter against the Boise State Broncos in the VRBO Fiesta Bowl and missed most of the second half. Carter toughened up and played against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the Capital One Orange Bowl. He had a dominant performance against the Fighting Irish on one arm, recording five tackles, two TFLs, and one sack.
Unfortunately, the elite prospect has not fully recovered from his injury.
Nittany Lions elite prospect won’t work out at NFL combine

According to Adam Schefter, via his agents Drew Rosenhaus and Robert Bailey, Abdul Carter will not work out at the combine because he has not fully recovered from his shoulder injury. However, Carter will partake in medical exams and interviews with teams. Also, Carter is expected to be medically cleared in late March and is expected to participate in Penn State’s Pro Day on Friday, March 28.
