Paul Finebaum Predicts Lane Kiffin’s 2026 Future

The Ole Miss Rebels are in a bit of a situation as they are attempting to figure out whether coach Lane Kiffin will be returning to the program. He has been linked to some of the head coaching vacancies, as the LSU Tigers and Florida Gators have been two of the biggest names right now. Paul Finebaum discussed what he believes will happen to the 14-year head coach.

While appearing on McElroy and Cubelic in the Morning on Monday morning, ESPN college football analyst Paul Finebaum discussed how he believes Lane Kiffin is leaving the Ole Miss Rebels, but can’t pinpoint where he will wind up.

“I think it will end sometime next Saturday with him probably leaving, and I say probably because that would mean I would be trusting a bunch of sources that I don’t even know who they are. I had 10 people, as you guys did, tell me it’s LSU right now. The week before, it seemed like Florida. So, I mean, I’m out of guesses. And, I know that sounds silly for me to be this indecisive, but I’m going to lean into my inner Lane Kiffin and have no earthly idea what he’s doing.”

Kiffin has been a great coach as he has a 54-19 record since taking over the program ahead of the 2020 college football season. The Ole Miss Rebels have issued a statement last week where they said Lane Kiffin will discuss his future on Saturday following the Egg Bowl. It will be interesting to see where he winds up coaching in 2026, but it appears that only Kiffin and his agent, Jimmy Sexton, know where that is as of this moment.
