One of the top teams in college football this season has been the Ole Miss Rebels, led by coach Lane Kiffin. However, there have been rumors of the coach leaving for one of the openings elsewhere. Let’s take a deeper dive into where Paul Finebaum is predicting the coach with a 116-53 record will be next season.
Paul Finebaum Predicts Lane Kiffin Leaves Ole Miss

While appearing on Wednesday’s edition of Get Up, ESPN college football analyst Paul Finebaum predicted that he believes Lane Kiffin will be leaving the Ole Miss Rebels after the season and joining the Florida Gators.
“I think it’s Florida. He’s always been a Florida fan. He grew up idolizing Steve Spurrier. I think it comes down to Florida or LSU. It seems like he has already left Ole Miss. You just don’t leave them hanging like he has. If you’re going to stay there, all you have to do is say I’ve just agreed to a new contract. So I think he’s trying to decide between LSU and Florida, and Florida seems like a slightly better choice.”
There was also a report regarding Lane Kiffin being given an ultimatum to decide whether he is leaving the Ole Miss Rebels or remaining with the program going forward, with a deadline being the Egg Bowl against the Mississippi State Rebels on November 28th. However, the coach has denied the rumors.
“That’s absolutely not true. There’s been no ultimatum or anything like that at all. I don’t know where that came from, like a lot of stuff that comes out there. Like I said, man, we’re having a blast. I love it here.”
Kiffin has been the coach at Ole Miss since the 2020 season, so it will be intriguing to see if he will be returning to the program or if this is the final season of Lane Kiffin at Ole Miss.
