Julian Edelman Reacts as Patrick Mahomes’ Chiefs Unleash Scary New Offense in 31–0 Win

Edelman’s comment comes on the heels of a statement win that showcased how dangerous this new-look Chiefs offense can be. On Sunday, Kansas City crushed the Las Vegas Raiders 31–0, marking their 10th win in their last 11 matchups against the divisional rival. Mahomes threw for 286 yards and three touchdowns, two of which went to Rashee Rice, who was playing his first game since tearing his ACL last season.
Rice’s comeback instantly boosted an attack that featured rookie Xavier Worthy’s speed and Marquise “Hollywood” Brown’s big-play ability. The Chiefs’ offense produced 434 total yards and scored on its first five possessions, an ominous sign for the rest of the league.
Coach Andy Reid praised Rice’s impact, noting Mahomes’ growing trust in his receiver: “The energy he brings is infectious,” Reid said after the game.
The Chiefs’ start was historically dominant. Three straight touchdown drives of 80+ yards opened the game, a feat no team has accomplished since 2000. By halftime, Kansas City led 21–0, had 21 first downs to the Raiders’ two, and had outgained them 275–51 in total yardage.
Fans echoed Edelman’s sentiment online, calling this version of the Chiefs scary. One wrote, “Everybody eats.”
Another added, “Edelman understands.” Several others praised the Patriots legend’s insight: “0–31, Julz nailed it.”
Even skeptics pointed out the Chiefs’ growing dominance, with one fan admitting, “It’s scary because of refs.”
With Mahomes orchestrating an offense rapidly rediscovering its explosiveness and three dynamic new wideouts now in sync, Edelman’s words carry weight across the league.
