Now there are even more legal issues the organization is dealing with.
Patriots Slapped With Massive Punishment Prior To Week 6 Vs. Texans
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter:
The National Football League placed Jabrill Peppers of the New England Patriots on the Commissioner Exempt List. Peppers may not practice or attend games while on the list.
According to the NFL’s official website:
New England Patriots safety Jabrill Peppers was arrested on Saturday morning on assault and cocaine possession charges, Braintree (Mass.) police confirmed to NFL.com.
Police said Monday in a statement that it responded to a disturbance at a residential address early on Oct. 5, with the caller indicating an altercation between two people. Peppers was arrested after an ensuing investigation. The victim of the alleged altercation was treated by emergency medical services at the scene.
Peppers will be charged with assault and battery; assault and battery with a dangerous weapon; strangulation; and possession of a Class “B” substance believed to be cocaine, police said.
The Patriots defensive back appeared for his arraignment on Monday at Quincy District Court and entered pleas of not guilty on the charges, according to The Associated Press. Peppers’ next court date is scheduled for Nov. 22.
