Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany Mahomes, could not be more proud of her man after the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback was recently inducted into the Texas High School Hall of Fame. On Saturday, Brittany Mahomes accompanied her husband to the ceremony and shared a post on her Instagram story to celebrate the achievement.
Mahomes has always been proud of his high school football career, having played with the Whitehouse High School. Incidentally, Mahomes met his future wife at the school and started a relationship which ended in a marriage with three children.
“When you go around the league, all I brag about is Texas high school football and how much it means. People talk about the players that come out of different states, but they don’t know how much it means to be in Texas high school football, and I think it’s a special place to be at,” Patrick Mahomes said to KRQE News after his induction ceremony.
After his high school football career, Mahomes played college football for the Texas Tech Red Raiders from 2014 to 2016. The 29-year-old quarterback managed to be then selected by the Kansas City Chiefs as the tenth pick in the very first round of the 2017 NFL draft.
With the Kansas City Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes has managed to win three Super Bowls. Despite trying his best to score a three-peat for the team in February’s Super Bowl, Mahomes and Chiefs lost to the Philadelphia Eagles. The team will be eager to win a Super Bowl trophy in the upcoming NFL season. In the previous NFL season, Mahomes managed to throw for a total of 3,928 yards, scoring 26 touchdowns, while managing 11 interceptions for the team.
Patrick Mahomes Announces Brand New High School Football Initiative
In other news, Patrick Mahomes has decided to do a lot more giving back this year, especially after he was inducted into the Texas High School Hall of Fame. After the ceremony, Mahomes announced that he will be creating custom jerseys for 15 high schools all over the USA in a partnership with Adidas.
Mahomes has previously done the same for college football teams through a collaboration with Adidas. This will be the first time the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback has done this for high school teams. Patrick Mahomes has been consistent about high school football shaping him up to become the footballer he is today, and it looks like the quarterback is eager to give more to the program which molded his career.
