Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, most recently discussed wide receiver Rashee Rice’s season-ending injury. Despite moving forward to the Super Bowl with a talented squad, the Chiefs will be sorely missing Rice, whose numbers as a wide receiver were one of the best in the season, before an injury ended his 2024 NFL season in Week 4.
Rashee Rice was the 55th pick in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft and was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs. In NFL Week 4 of the 2024 season, Rice injured his knee and had to subsequently undergo surgery to repair his hamstring and his LCL.
“No one really will talk about it. Losing Rashee Rice is still devastating. [Him being out] was huge for us during the year—[and not in a good way]. He’s got the chance to be one of the best receivers in the NFL when he comes back next year. Just the consistency Rashee has; he has everything you need to be a No. 1 receiver in this league. And I think we’re gonna have a good problem in the future where we have a couple good receivers who are young and can play, and that includes Hollywood [Marquise Brown] as well. We’re going to have more than one No. 1 receiver, but all those guys get along well, and it’s gonna be a good problem to have.” Patrick Mahomes said to the media on Monday.
Patrick Mahomes’ teammate, Rashee Rice managed a total of 24 receptions in the 2024 NFL season, for 288 yards, scoring two touchdowns. Meanwhile, Patrick Mahomes and the rest of the Chiefs are gearing up to play against the Philadelphia Eagles in the upcoming Super Bowl on February 9th.

The Patrick Mahomes vs. Tom Brady debate is still fresh and raging, with many fans and analysts discussing the topic in many forums. Meanwhile, Patrick Mahomes is on his way to play another Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles on February 9th.
