Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, was recently quizzed on a number of topics by none other than Kay Adams in the latest episode of the ‘Up & Adams’ show, including the matchup between his team and the Eagles in Week 2 of the upcoming NFL season. Mahomes and Co. were brutally beaten by the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX back in February, and the Chiefs are all out to take back the Super Bowl.
Mahomes and the Chiefs entered the Super Bowl matchup on a pretty confident note. However, they got embarrassingly thrashed by the Eagles who won with an impressive 40-22. The quarterback has especially taken it pretty hard and seems to have taken a personal vow to beat the Eagles in this NFL season.
“You continue on to play the Eagles Week Two, Super Bowl rematch. Obviously, they got after us this Super Bowl. And so, it’ll be a great challenge for us to see where we’re at. Patrick Mahomes will be playing his ninth season with the Chiefs in this football season and the team’s offense is heavily relying on him and tight end, Travis Kelce. While Mahomes’ performance was spotless in the 2024 NFL season, that of Kelce’s was terribly boorish. Mahomes and Kelce can be expected to turn up the heat from day 1 of the 2025 NFL season, hoping to bring some of their lost shine back.

In other news, it looks like the Patrick Mahomes-Travis Kelce duo may soon come to an end. According to recent rumors, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce may retire from his National Football League career after the 2025 NFL season. Kelce will be playing his thirteenth season with the Chiefs and may hang up his cleats for good after it ends.
Although Kelce has not exactly pointed to this, it is certain that the tight end is longing for more time with his girlfriend, pop star Taylor Swift. The two have spent plenty of intimate time with each other away from the spotlight, with the singer-songwriter too, taking a backseat from her music career to focus on her relationship.
