“God Is At Work”: Patrick Mahomes Season Ends With Faith at Forefront As Tavia Hunt Seeks Strength After Chiefs’ Playoff Elimination

Patrick Mahomes tearing his ACL was definitely not in any Chiefs fans’ bingo card for this season. Unfortunately, the injury puts the team in a sore spot, with the franchise’s chances of making it to the playoffs very rare right now.

Despite this major setback for this season, Tavia Hunt seems to be looking up to the heavens for optimism. Mrs. Hunt shared a sentimental post on her Instagram after the injury, mentioning the various challenges that come with football, along with the numerous positives that everyone looks forward to.

“Today didn’t end the day we hoped. After a season full of effort and heart, missing the playoffs for the first time in a decade stings – and it’s okay to feel that disappointment. Earlier today, we began in worship at the Chiefs Faith & Family Chapel in Life Church, which feels especially meaningful now. We were honored to be with Dallas Jenkins, creator of The Chosen, Bobby Gruenewald, creator of the Bible App, and friends from He Get Us – reminders that truth and hope don’t change with a final score. Football teaches us a lot about perseverance, humility and resilience. Not every game ends in a win, and following Jesus never comes with a promise of ease or comfort. But it does come with the promise that God is at work – faithfully and purposefully – even in seasons that hurt. Our trust isn’t in outcomes, but in a God who remains steady when everything else feels uncertain…” Tavia Hunt wrote in her Instagram.

Patrick Mahomes is expected to undergo surgery for his ACL tear, leaving Chiefs fans pretty disappointed for their team. This campaign has definitely not gone great for the quarterback or his team. Not just Mahomes, but several crucial players including Travis Kelce have been performing terribly this time out.

Patrick Mahomes Undergoes Surgery For ACL Tear

On another note, Patrick Mahomes has been reported to have undergone surgery to repair his ACL after tearing it in the Chargers matchup. Mahomes seems to have already taken the first major step towards his recovery and will be now setting his sights on the next football season.

Apart from his ACL, Mahomes also injured his LCL and had repaired this one as well during the surgery. While the Chiefs’ hopes of making it to the playoffs are nil at this point, the team will still power through in their next three games, with Gardner Minshew taking over as signal-caller.
