Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are 12-1 entering their Week 15 contest against the Cleveland Browns (3-10) on Sunday. The Chiefs have done well, considering all of the injuries the team has had to overcome since the preseason.
The Chiefs have earned big wins over teams like the Baltimore Ravens, San Francisco 49ers, and a sweep of the Los Angeles Chargers. Kansas City’s only loss in 2024 came in a 30-21 defeat by the Buffalo Bills.
The Chiefs have a difficult schedule coming up. Kansas City will play the Browns on Dec. 15, the Houston Texans on Dec. 21, and the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day. That’s three games in 11 days.
Patrick Mahomes doesn’t like the Kansas City Chiefs’ schedule

Per USA Today, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes complained about the upcoming schedule, saying it’s not good for a player’s body.
“It is not a good feeling,” Mahomes said. “I’m excited to play on Christmas to hopefully get back from what we did last year [when the Chiefs lost on Christmas to the Raiders], but you never want to play this many games in this short of time. It’s just not great for your body. But at the end of the day, it’s your job, your profession. You have to come to work and do it.”
NFL fans have strong reactions

NFL fans on social media had strong reactions to Mahomes’ complaint.
“We’re not happy with the refs suiting up for the chiefs every game,” wrote a fan.
“You make millions. Suck it up,” wrote another.
“Does he get paid to play,” asked a fan. “He needs to shut his face!”
“You’re a highly paid professional. Suck it up buttercup,” wrote another.
“He has a 400 million dollar contract he will be fine,” posted a fan.
“Try working 12 hr shifts every day for 37 days straight, then come cry to me,” wrote another.

Professional athletes, like Mahomes, are overpaid prima donas. Salaries are outrageous. The “little man”, with a family of four, can barely afford to attend most games. So, when an athlete such as Mahomes complains about work overload, he needs to shut his trap and do the “work” required of him.
Mahomes is the Lebron James of football.
