Patrick Mahomes was recently compared to another talented quarterback by former NFL quarterback, Drew Bledsoe. Bledsoe recently appeared as a guest on the ‘Up & Adams Show’ and discussed Mahomes’ style of play where the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback tries his best to run the ball to try and score in the last minute of a game. Bledsoe remarked that apart from Patrick Mahomes, Drake Maye is also known for doing so.
Patrick Mahomes has been playing for the Kansas City Chiefs since 2017 after the team selected him as the tenth pick in the very first round of the NFL draft. With the team, Mahomes has managed to win three Super Bowls and was also crowned Super Bowl MVP thrice. In the 2024 NFL season, the quarterback threw for a total of 3,928 yards, scoring 26 touchdowns, while managing 11 interceptions for the team.
“I mean, you watch Pat Mahomes… seems like every game you know, at the end of a game you know, Pat would make one big play, running the ball, obviously he’s magic throwing the ball, but it just always seemed like in crunch time, he’d pull it down and run for that first down that was just a back breaker. I think Drake Maye has the ability to do that.” Drew Bledsoe spoke about Patrick Mahomes and Drake Maye on the ‘Up & Adams Show’ recently.

It looks like Drake Maye has picked up a thing or two from Patrick Mahomes who has been in the league for a much longer time than the New England Patriots quarterback. Maye joined the Patriots in the previous NFL season after the team selected him as the third pick in the very first round of the draft.

Patrick Mahomes And Chiefs Need To Give Up Holidays For Games
After the NFL schedule for the upcoming season was recently released, it was not difficult to notice that Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs will be playing several high-profile games during Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Several football fans have accused the NFL of sponging off the immense stardom that Patrick Mahomes and other KC players like Travis Kelce currently have.

As a result of their fame, players like Mahomes and Kelce do not have the privilege of spending the holidays with their family and instead have to play games, unlike players from other teams. However, it does not seem like Patrick Mahomes might be complaining anytime soon, especially spending several months at home with his family during the NFL offseason.
