Kansas City Chiefs starting quarterback Patrick Mahomes has always depressed respect for NFL legend Tom Brady, and now he has revealed his growing relationship with him during the offseason.
In his interview on the “Up and Adams” show, Patrick Mahomes opened up about how he grew closer to NFL legend Tom Brady during the offseason.
“Having Tom (Brady), a guy like that, say that just motivates me even more,” said Mahomes, referring to Brady’s praise that he could duplicate his records. “I’ve actually talked to Tom a good amount this offseason. It’s cool that he wants to give me advice.”
Mahomes also described Brady as “a good dude,” adding that he did not have to give advice like he did, but still did.
“And I have so much respect for him, and I’ll take any advice he gives me.”

While Mahomes did not share any specific tip he got from Brady, citing that he “has to keep secrets,” he shared the central theme of the advice he has gotten from the NFL legend.
“He always talks about being yourself,” he said. “He thinks that, which I truly believe, too, is that guys can spot when you’re not authentic and you’re not putting in the work. That’s something that he did every single day. That’s why guys respected him so much.”
Mahomes added that this is the same nidnset is has adapted, saying: “And that’s all I’m going to do for the rest of my career, and I feel like I’ve done so far, is I’m always myself, no matter if you like me or don’t like me, you know I’m giving everything I can to win football games.”
Patrick Mahomes Talks About Chiefs’ Roster Depth: “We have So Many Weapons”
In the same interview, Patrick Mahomes also discussed the depth of the current roster of the Chiefs. As a team that tried and failed to grab a historic Super Bowl three-peat, fans are expecting the Chiefs to bounce back stronger, with a stronger roster.
“I think it’s gonna come from everywhere,” Mahomes said.

He mentioned the presence of Rashee Rice on the back, Xavier Worthy, and Hollywood Brown being healthy again. He also gave a shoutout to tight ends Travis Kelce, Noah Gray, “and everybody that we’ve added to all those different rooms.”
“We have so many weapons,” he added. “Let’s go out there and just maximize it all. It’s not gonna be just one person. It’s gonna be the entire offense going out there and showcasing what the Kansas City Chiefs truly are.”
Patrick Mahomes will remain a starting quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs for the 2025-2026 season.
