Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs were one win away from completing the first ever three-peat since the 1960s Green Bay Packers. However, the Philadelphia Eagles squashed that and Kansas City has been reeling ever since. While the new season is upon us, the Super Bowl 59 loss will certainly linger all season long.
However, Mahomes and his family was impacted by a huge ruling before the season even got underway.
Breaking: Patrick Mahomes Sees Judge Make Massive Ruling For His Family (Report)

It is usually not necessary to get permission from the court to watch your child play football. However, what if you’re on probation for a DWI and your son is Patrick Mahomes? The situation has changed:
Patrick Mahomes Sr. just got a green light from a Texas judge to leave the state so he can watch his son suit up for the Chiefs’ preseason opener on August 9 against the Arizona Cardinals. According to court records reviewed by TMZ Sports, he made the official request on July 17 and got the all-clear five days later.
The trip takes him from August 8 to August 10, with a stay in a Glendale-area hotel. Mahomes Sr. agreed to follow all the terms of his probation while away, including submitting to a drug test when he returns to Texas on August 11.

While it might seem like a hassle, it’s a necessary part of the plea agreement he reached with prosecutors. Smith County officials are clearly willing to work with him, as long as he follows the rules. That includes detailed itineraries, hotel confirmations, and testing upon return.
The upcoming game in Glendale marks the start of what could be a long season for the Chiefs, with potentially over 20 games across the country. If Kansas City does what Kansas City does, make another Super Bowl run, expect Mahomes Sr. to be in the courtroom plenty.
No word yet if he’ll request permission to attend every game, but with his son headlining one of the NFL’s most dominant teams, it wouldn’t be surprising.
For now, he’s good to go for August 9. And you can bet he’ll be in the stands, proud dad hat on, cheering from the sidelines, legally this time.
