Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes got a comparison to the Washington Commanders’ second-year starting quarterback Jayden Daniels, from a former Super Bwol champion who happened to have played for the Commanders, too.
In a recent interview on the “Up and Adams” show, former Washington Commanders quarterback and Super Bowl champion Joe Theismann got honest about his take on second-year QB jayden Daniels, whom he drew comparisons to Kansas City Chiefs Patrick Mahomes.
“[Daniels] can throw the ball down the field extremely well,” Theismann said. “He has terrific ability to judge and run. I was talking about Patrick’s ability from his football smarts. I think Jayden is in that category as well.”
“He has the ability to be that good a quarterback.”

Patrick Mahomes Opens Up About Best Advice He Got From Tom Brady
In a recent interview on the “Up and Adams” show, Patrick Mahomes opened up about his growing mentor relationship with NFL legend quarterback Tom Brady.
“Having Tom (Brady), a guy like that, say that just motivates me even more,” said Mahomes, referring to Brady’s praise that he could duplicate his records. “I’ve actually talked to Tom a good amount this offseason. It’s cool that he wants to give me advice.”
Mahomes also described Brady as “a good dude,” adding that he did not have to give advice like he did, but still did.
“And I have so much respect for him, and I’ll take any advice he gives me.”

While he did not get into specifics, he described the tips he got from Brady as something he would like to keep as a secret. Still, he mentioned the central theme of his words of sports wisdom.
“He always talks about being yourself,” he said. “He thinks that, which I truly believe, too, is that guys can spot when you’re not authentic and you’re not putting in the work. That’s something that he did every single day. That’s why guys respected him so much.”

Patrick Mahomes will embark on the 2025 season with the Chiefs in an attempt to bounce back from a failed legendary Super Bowl three-peat.
