Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, lately shared his desire to own an NBA team and a WNBA team in Kansas City. Speaking to reporters recently, Mahomes mentioned that the city is fantastic for sports, and that he would love to own a basketball franchise since he very well knows that the people would support the team extensively.
Kansas City lost its basketball team after the unit moved to Sacramento and became the Sacramento Kings back in 1985. Apart from his beloved football, Mahomes has shown his love for all sports in general, particularly in women’s sports. Mahomes has also expressed a high level of interest in women’s basketball, which is crucial considering the fact that the WNBA is experiencing high ratings and viewership.
“We want to get basketball to Kansas City. The WNBA and the success that they’ve had this last season and these last few seasons, it’s kind of a no-brainer to try to get a WNBA team in Kansas City.” Patrick Mahomes said to reporters.

Meanwhile, Patrick Mahomes and the rest of the Kansas City Chiefs are gearing up to play against the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LXI on Sunday. The Chiefs earned their ticket to the Super Bowl after defeating the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship game with a final score of 32-29.

On another note, newly elected US President Donald Trump recently congratulated Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, on the birth of their third child, a daughter, Golden Raye. Trump took to Truth Social to drop his congratulations to the happy couple and also remarked that the newly born baby has great genes, from “both mother and father”.
“Congratulations to the Chiefs GREAT Quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, and his very beautiful and BRILLIANT wife, Brittany, on the birth of their new baby daughter, Golden Raye. US President Donald Trump has been a Kansas City Chiefs supporter for quite a long time and recently announced that he will be attending the Super Bowl on Sunday.
