Patrick Mahomes overcame a high ankle sprain to help lead the Kansas City Chiefs to victory on Saturday night. Mahomes injured his ankle in the first quarter and had to have it taped on sidelines. After he tried to play on the ankle, he was removed from the game and taken to the locker room for tests. Fortunately for him and the team, it was not broken. The training staff then taped him up again and he re-entered the game. After the game, which the Chiefs won 27-20, Chiefs quarterback coach Matt Nagy used one word to describe his All-Pro quarterback: Warrior.
#chiefs QB coach Matt Nagy was walking off the field, turned and looked at me and just said … “warrior.”

What Is Next for the Kansas City Chiefs?
The Chiefs will be appearing in the AFC Championship game for the fifth season in a row. They will take on the winner of the Cincinnati Bengals and Buffalo Bills game tomorrow night. Of course, if the Bengals prevail, it will be a rematch of last year’s AFC Championship game, which Cincinnati won.
