Pat McAfee mercilessly and (somewhat) light-heartedly trolled Dan Orlovsky on the April 2, 2024 version of the Pat McAfee Show.
McAfee, the brash and groundbreaking ESPN sports personality, claimed that Orlovsky broke wind while appearing remotely on the show. Thereafter, McAfee and the various other participants on his show let Orlovsky have it.
The April 2, 2024 version of the Pat McAfee show would have been better suited for the preceding day — April Fools’ Day.
Pat McAfee and Dan Orlovsky Are Former NFL Players
Pat McAfee was a Pro Bowl punter for the Indianapolis Colts. He played his college ball at West Virginia. He had an eight-year NFL career. McAfee is a Pro Football Hall of Fame nominee.
Dan Orlovsky was a four-year starter at quarterback for the University of Connecticut. In his senior year, he was named MVP of the Motor City Bowl.
The Detroit Lions drafted Orlovsky in the fifth round of the 2005 NFL draft. He had a twelve-year career, serving mostly as a back-up quarterback. Playing on several teams, he appeared in 26 games, starting in twelve.
McAfee and Orlovsky were teammates on the Indianapolis Colts, and they are friends.
McAfee and Orlovsky Are Now Both ESPN Personalities/Analysts
In the words of GQ Sports, Orlovsky is an “ex-NFL quarterback turned ESPN talking head.” He appears and offers commentary on a variety of shows on the sports network.
For his part, McAfee has become a superstar on ESPN. He signed an “eight-figure deal” with the network. He hosts his own show and appears on College Game Day.
Orlovsky’s Alleged On-Air Flatulence
While McAfee was interviewing Orlovsky during the April 2 Pat McAfee Show — with Orlovsky appearing remotely from inside a vehicle — McAfee proclaimed that he heard Orlovsky pass gas. Orlovsky denied it, but McAfee was having none of it. McAfee repeatedly played audio of the alleged flatulence.

It quickly went viral.
Dan Orlovsky rips a MASSIVE fart on the Pat McAfee Show on ESPN…
This can’t be real 😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/44cm1Wb2bU

Orlovsky told McAfee that McAfee’s antics were causing Orlovsky’s phone to blow up.
But, McAfee did not relent. He made the alleged flatulence the focus of the show.
Orlovsky claimed the sound was actually a noise emanating from the windshield wipers in the vehicle he was sitting in during the broadcast.
I hate McAfee
It was the windshield wipers

McAfee piled on, referring to the day (April 2) as “Fart Tuesday” and the on-air noise as the “Fart Heard ‘Round the World”.
If nothing else, the whole exchange was good for a laugh.
