Former NFL player and now podcast host Pat McAfee got to deal with the unhinged ranting of WWE manager and commentator Paul Heyman, particularly with the ongoing issues that ESPN analyst Shannon Sharpe has been facing.
“Do you care about the opinions of people who are irrelevant?,” Heyman said during the segment. “You don’t care about the opinions of most people who are very relevant in your life. You don’t get rid of the people who pay you.”
“They sit there and they go, ‘Hey, Mr. McAfee, don’t talk about Shannon Sharp on the air today.’ And you go, “I talk about anything I want. I’m Pat McAfee. Watch me swing my slung all over the place.”

Heyman went on with a story of him and McAfee smoking weed, and McAfee saying “Stephen A. Smith sucks.” McAfee denined both alleagtions by Heyman.
Shannon Sharpe is facing a $50 million lawsuit filed by a Jane Doe, who alleges that he sexually assaulted her multiple times between late 2024 and early 2025. The lawsuit claims that Sharpe pursued the woman relentlessly, engaged in a controlling relationship, and later forced himself on her despite her protests.

Sharpe has denied the allegations, calling the lawsuit a “shakedown”, and has threatened to sue the accuser for defamation
Have Pat McAfee and Shannon Sharpe Worked Together?
Pat McAfee and Shannon Sharpe have crossed paths in the sports media world but have never officially worked together as co-hosts on a show. Both are former NFL players who transitioned into broadcasting, with McAfee building his own brand through The Pat McAfee Show and Sharpe gaining prominence as a co-host on Undisputed alongside Skip Bayless.

While they have occasionally discussed each other’s work and appeared in similar media circles, they have not had a formal partnership.
Their most notable interaction came when McAfee expressed interest in Sharpe joining ESPN after Sharpe left Undisputed. McAfee, who had recently moved his show to ESPN, publicly stated that Sharpe would be a valuable addition to the network.

Sharpe, meanwhile, was weighing his options, including potential collaborations with Stephen A. Smith. While McAfee was open to working with Sharpe, no official deal materialized between them.
Additionally, both Pat McAfee and Sharpe were involved in the Brett Favre defamation lawsuit, where Favre sued them for comments made about his alleged involvement in the Mississippi welfare scandal. This legal battle put them in the same conversation, but it was not a direct collaboration.
