The Panthers announced their new helmet with some flair in this animalistic hype video. Defenders Brian Burns and Jeremy Chinn, who are both young, rising stars, are ready to go feral against the Falcons on November 10th. They are shown making growling sounds and simply itching to get on the field and let the darkness out.
Here’s another 360-degree look posted by Bleacher Report, showing off the matte black exterior with the blue Panthers logo, two blue stripes down the middle, and the numbers on the back.

When does the helmet debut?
They will be worn in a Thursday Night Football matchup in week 10 against the division rival Atlanta Falcons. Bank of America Stadium will likely be packed to the brim with fans excited to see the debut of the first alternate helmet in team history. This is the first season where the NFL has allowed them, so many teams are jumping on the bandwagon.
The Texans recently revealed a red alternate, as did the Falcons. The Saints put out a black design while the Eagles and Patriots went old school. All the new helmets for 2022 can be found in this NBC Sports article.
I’m sure there will be more alternate designs rolling in as the season gets closer. This Panthers helmet is a perfect match for their defensive energy, and I can’t wait to see them let the darkness out in week 10.
