“Pairing Him With Garrett Wilson”: New York Jets Select WR Jordyn Tyson With Second First Round Pick In Latest 2026 PFF NFL Mock Draft

The New York Jets finished with a 3-14 record during the regular season and will have the number two overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. New York will also have another first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft from the Indianapolis Colts because of the cornerback Sauce Gardner trade. That pick will be 16th overall in the first-round of the 2026 NFL Draft. At the time of the trade, it looked like a good trade for the Colts, but it backfired and helped out the Jets big time.

There are a lot of needs on the Jets roster. There is no perfect route for this franchise to take in the 2026 NFL Draft. New York needs to revamp its defense big time after not recording a single interception during the 2025 NFL season. The Jets also need to find a reliable quarterback for the 2026 NFL season.

There is a lot of talented players in the 2026 NFL Draft for the Jets to potentially choose from. Trevor Sikkema of profootballfocus.com has the Jets selecting Arizona State Sun Devils wide receiver Jordyn Tyson 16th overall in the latest 2026 NFL Mock Draft. Sikkema said,

Some mock drafts have Tyson going as high as No. 5 overall, so to see him this low might be a surprise, but wide receiver draft ranges tend to be wider than we think, and Tyson does have a more extensive injury history. That being said, he is my top wide receiver based on his tape. Pairing him withGarrett Wilsonwould create a nasty duo (or trio if you throw in AD Mitchell).”

There is no doubt that the Jets need a true number two wide receiver for Garrett Wilson. Tyson would be an interesting choice. He could slip because of his injury history. Tyson could be selected earlier than that, but New York may trip when going to the podium if he is still on the board by then.

During the 2025 college football season with Arizona State, Tyson caught 61 passes for 711 yards receiving and eight touchdowns, along with averaging 11.7 yards per reception. He is 6’2″ and weighs 200 lbs. The former Sun Devils wide receiver should be drafted in the first-round of the 2026 NFL Draft. Being the number two receiver for the Jets would be a good thing for Tyson, but New York needs to figure out who the quarterback is going to be during the 2026 season.
