The Green Bay Packers are looking to improve to 4-2 on the season in week six. They’ll welcome the Arizona Cardinals to Lambeau Field on Sunday for a 12:00pm CT kickoff. Arizona is coming off a huge win over the San Francisco 49ers in week five. They improved to 2-3 on the season after that win and are looking to prove they’re a contender with Kyler Murray under center.
That being said, news today was announced that gives Green Bay a break next week.
Packers Receive Huge Break Ahead Of Week 6 (Report)
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter:
Texans are placing WR Nico Collins on injured reserve due to his hamstring injury. He will be sidelined a minimum of four games
Collins suffered a hamstring injury during their heart stopping 23-20 win over the Buffalo Bills. He immediately went into the blue medical tent on the sideline for evaluation. Upon leaving the tent he went into the locker room and was later ruled out for the rest of the game,
Before leaving the Bills contest, he already had recorded a 67-yard touchdown reception. He has solidified himself has a go-to option in Houston’s offense.
Green Bay not having to worry about a deep threat like Collins will be a huge break for their secondary. The Packers’ defense has been feast or famine this season. In three contests, they’ve allowed 19 points or less (this includes a 10 point performance and a 14 point performance).
However, their other two games have yielded 34 points and 31 points. Houston has proved they have one of the best offenses in the NFL. Containing CJ Stroud will mean getting pressure on him and taking away his weapons.
