The Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions faced off in an incredible Thursday Night Matchup. Despite Green Bay scoring 24 second half points, Detroit was able to walk it off as time expired. Jake Bates hit a 35 yard field goal that sent the Lions to 12-1 on the year and Green Bay to 9-4.

“Threatening Our Players” Packers HC Matt LaFleur Explodes About Lions Fan Who Confronted Team Pre Game
After getting heated with a Detroit Lions fan on Thursday night, Packers coach Matt LaFleur explained his actions to reporters:
LaFleur was seen remonstrating and mouthing the words “Shut the f*** up,” with players and staffers needing to get between him and the opposing supporter at Ford Field before the ‘TNF’ fixture.

Speaking in his postgame presser after the 34-31 loss, the Packers HC revealed that the fan trash-talked his players and made a throat-slashing gesture he clearly took umbrage to.
“He was talking junk to our players, giving ’em the throat slash sign,” he said. “You’re trying to de-escalate it, and then he gets in my face… Usually, they police that much better… I would like to see security step in…”

It will be interesting to see if these two teams meet again. Detroit swept the regular season series, beating one team three times in a season isn’t easy.
