The Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions are in the middle of a tight NFC North contest. Early in the third quarter Detroit leads 17-14. It has certainly been a little chippy between these two teams, the rivalry has certainly intensified over the last few seasons.
That being said, missed calls will be on the forefront of everyone’s mind. That is exactly what happened with Jordan Love in the first half.
“How Is That Possible?” Packers Fans Erupt As Lions Nearly Take Jordan Love’s Head Off, No Flag Called
Refs missed an egregious call on Packers quarterback Jordan Love in the first quarter of Thursday’s game against the Detroit Lions:
While throwing the football, Love was being grabbed from behind, which was fine, but then Za’Darius Smith came in and punched him in the head area.
No flag was thrown, and the Packers would have to punt the ball away. The missed flag should’ve been an automatic first down.

An obvious missed call. You’re not allowed to touch the quarterback on the helmet.

Jordan Love has been actively preparing for this pivotal game, showcasing his development as a starting quarterback in recent weeks.
This matchup carries significant stakes for both the Green Bay Packers and the Lions, as they compete for better playoff positioning in the top-heavy NFC North division.
Fans were obviously quick to react:
If that was Mahomes he would’ve been ejected. SMH refs already on the Lions side
