The Green Bay Packers know what’s at stake on Monday Night Football this week. A win means they’re post-season bound. The 5-9 New Orleans Saints who are dealing with a plethora of injuries are the only thing that stands in the way.
To get ready, Green Bay decided to add one more name to the roster.

Luke Musgrave, a second-year tight end, is set to return to the Packers’ lineup tonight. Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports that Green Bay will activate Musgrave from injured reserve ahead of its Week 16 game:
Per Tom Pelissero with the NFL Network, Green Bay is activating Luke Musgrave from injured reserve, and the second-year tight end will play against the Saints.
“The Packers are activating TE Luke Musgrave from injured reserve and he’ll play tonight against the Saints, per source,” Pelissero posted on X. “A remarkable return for Musgrave, who had ankle surgery in October and hasn’t played since Week 3. They’ll ease him in.”
Green Bay will have another option at the skill positions upon Musgrave’s return.
A significant aspect of the Packers’ success on offense has been the development of recent draft picks in that group.
Musgrave had 34 receptions for 352 yards and one touchdown as a rookie. He had another score in the team’s postseason run.
However, he only played in four games in 2024, and his offensive snap share dropped from 66% to 39%. As a result, production dropped.
