Underclassmen like Oregon Ducks’ underrated tight end Jamari Johnson had until Wednesday, January 14, to declare for the 2026 NFL Draft or stay in college for one final season. The former Louisville four-star recruit from the 2023 recruiting class enjoyed a breakout first season with Oregon, setting career highs in receiving while finishing in the top five in receptions, yards, and touchdowns on the team. Johnson hauled in 32 receptions for 510 yards and three scores across 15 games.

On X, Jamari Johnson announced that he will return to Oregon for the 2026 season rather than declaring for the 2026 NFL Draft. His captain read, “Let’s run it back Eugene!!!” Lastly, with Kenyon Sadiq off to the NFL, Johnson steps into the starting tight end role next year and has a golden opportunity to showcase his skills and soar on draft boards.
