Dan Lanning spoke to Jackson Naugle of Athlon Sports on Monday about Ohio State Buckeyes offensive coordinator Chip Kelly. Lanning said:

“I think he’s always done a great job of using his personnel, moving guys around and allowing them to do things that they do really well. He always finds unique ways to run the ball. I think that’s one thing he probably doesn’t get enough credit for is his ability to run the ball regardless of situation.”

Ohio State has two effective running backs on the roster. Chip Kelly used to be the head coach of the Oregon Ducks.

Lanning also added about the former Oregon Ducks head coach:

“(Kelly) does a great job utilizing personnel. Keeping you on your toes, changing the tempos, and creating unique formations that you’ve never seen on film before, so you always have to prepare for something you haven’t really prepared for.”

The Ohio State Buckeyes offense will pose problems for the Ducks defense. Will Howard has two elite wide receivers to throw to in Jeremiah Smith and Emeka Egbuka. If Oregon’s defense struggles to stop them, it will be a long game for the Ducks.
