The Baltimore Ravens signed cornerback Jaire Alexander to a one-year deal on Wednesday. Alexander was released from the Green Bay Packers recently and he decided to reunite with his former Louisville Cardinals college football teammate quarterback Lamar Jackson.

With this signing, there is no doubt that the Ravens could have one of the best secondaries in the NFL for the 2025 season. This could be the year where Baltimore finally gets to the Super Bowl with Jackson leading the way. Do people think that the Ravens can finally be the best team in the AFC?
Former NFL Player Thinks That the Baltimore Ravens Are the Best Team On Paper in the AFC After the Jaire Alexander Signing

Former NFL wide receiver James Jones was talking about on Thursday morning on The Facility on FS1 whether or not the Ravens are the best team in the AFC now that they signed Alexander to the team. Jones said on the show,
“On paper, YES! This could be the year of vengeance if Lamar balls out in the playoffs.”
Alexander, Marlon Humphrey, and Nate Wiggins will be the top three cornerbacks on the Ravens roster. Kyle Hamilton and Malaki Starks will be the starting safeties. This could be the best secondary in the NFL entering the 2025 season. Baltimore’s offense will also be special with Jackson and running back Derrick Henry leading the way.
There is a chance that the Ravens could be the number one seed in the AFC this year. If the Kansas City Chiefs don’t win the AFC, it will be either Baltimore or the Buffalo Bills and Josh Allen winning the AFC. Jones has a point because the Ravens defense might be better than the Bills defense at the moment. The Chiefs at some point will also show signs of decay.
