Ole Miss Rebels wide receiver Jordan Watkins will be entering his senior season in college football. Ole Miss finished with an 11-2 record a season ago and also won the Peach Bowl against the Penn State Nittany Lions. The Rebels will have a chance to be a college football playoff contender this season after the field has been expanded.
Head coach Lane Kiffin could have one of the best offenses in all of college football this season. Ole Miss Rebels quarterback Jaxson Dart could be a dark horse candidate to win the Heisman Trophy this season. Watkins can very well be his top wide receiver target in this offense.
Jordan Watkins last season with Ole Miss caught 53 passes for 741 yards receiving and three touchdowns, along with averaging 14.0 yards per catch. Watkins is 5’11” and weighs 190 lbs.

With the Rebels spring practice in the rearview mirror, there were some players that stood out. One of the players that stood out to Sports Illustrated writer Jackson Harris was wide receiver Jordan Watkins. Harris wrote about Watkins by saying:
“Jordan Watkins is quickly becoming one of the most reliable targets in Ole Miss history. Watkins needs no introduction and will be one of stars of this Ole Miss offense in 2024. Watkins has dealt with some injuries in his time at Ole Miss, but his production is off the charts, and he has limited drops each year. He looked light on his feet during spring practice, flying across the field. Watkins truly practices like he plays, and his sense of confidence seems to be a trait that the whole team has embodied. Look for Jordan Watkins to have another monster year in the slot for the Rebels in 2024.”
Ole Miss has had some talented wide receivers go into the NFL in the past like A.J. Brown and Elijah Moore. Jordan Watkins could be the next Ole Miss Rebels receiver to be drafted in the NFL. Watkins could be an all-conference player in the SEC this season as long as he can stay healthy.
This is an offense that can score a bunch of points this season because the Rebels have so much talent all over the field. Watkins’s name will be targeted often this season by quarterback Jaxson Dart.
