Ohio State has been on a tear their last two games, outscoring their opponents 83-38, and they aren’t doing it against any cupcakes.
Many questioned the offense after the Buckeyes’ 13-10 loss to arch-rival Michigan in their final regular-season game. If they couldn’t score more than 10 points against a mediocre Wolverines defense, how would they do against the best team in the college football playoffs?
Ohio State Is Going Off This Postseason
Head coach Ryan Day and offensive coordinator Chip Kelly changed the entire offense during the three weeks between their last regular season and first playoff games. Now, it looks like the offenses of 2019 LSU and 2020 Alabama.
In their last two games, the Buckeyes’ offense went nuclear against two of the best five defenses, scoring 42 points on Tennessee and 41 on Oregon, the number one overall seed in the postseason.
Ohio State’s great offensive play has been due to its offensive line, which owns the line of scrimmage, its two-headed running back monster, TreVeyon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins, which established the ground game, and true freshman wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, who has 13 receptions for 290 yards and four scores.
Quarterback Will Howard has had a rollercoaster of a season, but over the last two games, he has thrown for 630 yards, five touchdowns, and one interception, looking like the best reaming signal caller in the playoffs.
This season, Howard has been criticized heavily for his late blunder in the loss to Oregon and his horrible performance against Michigan. However, one college football analyst doesn’t want to change their stance on the Buckeyes quarterback.
Fox Sports Host Emmanuel Acho Thinks Howard Is The Worst Quarterback Left
Emmanuel Acho, a former college and NFL player who is a sports/college football analyst on Fox, has no faith in Howard and stated, “Ohio State’s Will Howard is the worst quarterback remaining in the playoff.”
Emmanuel Acho has some clips coming out that have aged poorly.

It’s a stretch to say that Howard is the worst quarterback remaining when he has thrown for more yards and touchdowns than the other three quarterbacks left. He has done it against better competition, playing Indiana, Penn State, Tennessee, and Oregon twice, and they all made the playoffs.
Is Howard going to be a great quarterback at the next level? Probably not, but he plays at a high level in college. Even though he wasn’t a high recruit like Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers and Penn State’s Drew Allar, Howard is playing as great or even better than the two.
