Ohio State is under enormous pressure this postseason after having one of the largest NIL collections in college football and returning almost every key player from last season’s team.
The Buckeyes had three primary goals this year: beating Michigan, winning the Big Ten title, and winning the National Championship. However, they have failed to achieve the first two.
Three weeks ago, the Buckeyes fell to Michigan for the fourth straight season, which prevented them from qualifying for the Big Ten title. They failed that milestone, and now they are facing the biggest goal of them all.
Beating Michigan and winning the Big Ten are outstanding achievements, but winning the national title is the same goal every college football team has in mind to start the season, and now the Buckeyes are one of 12 teams left that can bring one home.
While many are down on the Buckeye’s playoff chances, one former player is excited and thinks they can add a third title this century.
Denzel Ward Thinks Ohio State Is The Team To Beat
Former Ohio State and current Cleveland Browns cornerback spoke to the media on Wednesday, stating,” Ohio State’s going to win it. I’m telling you. They’re going to win it all.”

It’s nice to see Ward still believe his former college can win the championship. Still, if head coach Ryan Day and offensive coordinator Chip Kelly don’t turn around their playcalling, there is a reality that the Buckeyes will be one-and-done and lose to the Volunteers this weekend.
Ohio State better find a way to make Ward right, or it will be a long offseason in Columbus that could lead to a head coaching change.
