The biggest game of the Big Ten season has arrived between second-ranked Ohio State and third-ranked Oregon, and one of them will keep their perfect season alive.
Ohio State and Oregon have yet to be tested this season, so this will be the first time both schools see great quality on both sides of the ball.
Three years ago, Oregon walked into Columbus and beat the Buckeyes. Still, almost every single player in that game is no longer part of either program, and the Duck’s head coach was Mario Cristobal, who is now coaching Miami.
Neither of these teams know much about each other because they don’t match up often, but now that Oregon has joined the Big Ten, this could be a game played every year, either in the regular season, Big Ten title game, or playoffs.
There is a great chance this won’t be the last time we see this matchup this season, and one of the biggest college football analysts has made his prediction on the game.
Josh Pate Picks His Ohio State Vs. Oregon Winner
Josh Pate, who hosts Josh Pate’s College Football Show, picked Oregon to pull the upset on Saturday and talked about a few key points in the game.
Pate wants to see how Oregon’s defensive line performs against Ohio State’s offensive line. Even though Vegas has Ohio State as a 3.5-point favorite, he still likes the Ducks to win this one.
The good news is that the loser of this game is not even close to being out of the playoffs like in years past, and there is a great chance these two will meet again in Indianapolis this December.
Two weeks ago, we watched Alabama upset Georgia. Then, a week later, the Crimson Tide lost on the road at Vanderbilt, so the Ohio State vs Oregon winner better be careful and not get ahead of themselves.
Week Seven of college football will be great with big-time matchups between Ole Miss and LSU, Texas and Oklahoma, USC and Penn State, and, of course, Ohio State vs. Oregon.
