Ohio State will open its 2025 season with a home game against Texas, and there is a chance the current Longhorns starting quarterback could be under center for the Buckeyes.
Texas starting quarterback Quinn Ewers has been in the program for three years. He began his career in Columbus with Ohio State in 2021 but only stayed for one season before hitting the portal.
Ewers has Texas in the college football playoffs, and the two schools could meet in the semi-finals in early January, but could the Longhorns quarterback be heading back to Ohio State next season?
The X account NFL Rookie Watch reported that Ewers reportedly has a deal on the table from a Big Ten team for $4 million.

We don’t know who the Big Ten team is or if the report is accurate, but if it is, Ohio State should welcome him back.
Ewers returned to Texas this season to improve his draft stock and get selected high in next year’s draft, but the opposite happened. Now, there is a chance he will stay in college for more seasons, but it will have to be elsewhere since the Longhorns will be starting Arch Manning.
Ohio State will have a young quarterback room next season with Will Howard leaving, and Buckeye fans seem open to having Ewers return.
