Justin Fields is one of the best quarterbacks in Ohio State history. He came to the team in the winter of 2019 after his freshman season at Georgia and put on a show for the people of Ohio.
The former Buckeye star started two seasons in Columbus and led the team to two playoff appearances and a national championship in the 2020 shortened COVID season, which they lost to Alabama.
Fields was drafted in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears and spent three seasons in the Windy City before getting traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers this offseason.
Ohio State’s Former Star Gets A New Start In The NFL
The 25-year-old quarterback needed a new start, and Pittsburgh could be the perfect place for his career to get back on track. The Steelers have always been a great franchise, led by one of the best head coaches in the NFL, Mike Tomlin, so there is a chance Fields could look like the player he was coming out of Ohio State three years ago.
It will be interesting to see how Fields does with the Steelers this season. It will also be crazy to see the Buckeye star maybe wearing a Michigan basketball jersey and cheering on his sister in Ann Arbor for the next few years.
All the best of luck to Jessica Fields and Michigan, and with how big women’s college basketball has gotten over the past few years, many people will be tuning into many of her games.
