Ohio State is four days away from kicking off their third biggest game of the season, against Indiana, and if the Buckeyes pull out the win, they will put themselves in the driver’s seat for a spot in the Big Ten title.
Last week, the Buckeyes went to Wrigley Field to take on Northwestern, and the goal was for nobody to get injured. Sadly, that didn’t happen.
Ohio State Gets A Health Update On Their Star
Wide receiver Jeremiah Smith had his ankle twisted by Wildcats defensive back Robert Fitzgerald, which was a dirty play, and the 18-year-old receiver was limping for the rest of the game.
Smith battled through his injury all afternoon, and on Tuesday, head coach Ryan Day gave an update on the status of his star player.
According to Dan Hope from the Eleven Warriors, “Ryan Day said Ohio State sent the ankle-twisting tackle by Northwestern defensive back Robert Fitzgerald on Jeremiah Smith into the Big Ten and is waiting to hear back from the conference. Day said Smith is good to go.”

It was horrible that Smith had got injured on such a dirty play, but it’s good to hear that he is good to go this week. No more games on Ohio State’s schedule are considered cupcakes, so everybody needs to be out there even if they aren’t 100 % healthy.
