Ohio State has been rolling to start the season, but it has yet to face a power four team. The Buckeyes’ first three games were against Akron, Western Michigan, and Marshall, which were very easy, but this week, they will finally head on the road and open up Big Ten play against Michigan State.
Michigan State just had a tough loss against Boston College last week, and they are looking to upset the Buckeyes, which would be a major thing for the new head coach, Jonathan Smith, who was hired this offseason coming over from Oregon State.
Last week, Ohio State saw Marshall take the ball down the field and score an early touchdown, which the Buckeyes didn’t allow in their first two games. Some of that had to do with one of the best players on defense being out.
Defensive tackle Tyleik Williams missed last week’s game with an undisclosed injury, but Ohio State got some good news about Willams on Friday.

Getting Williams back is a major thing for the Buckeyes’ defense because Marshall was able to pick up some yards on the ground last week. In the next few games, Ohio State will be facing teams that can run the ball, like Michigan State, Iowa, and Oregon, so having the best run-stopper on the team healthy is amazing.
Ohio State’s schedule might have started off easy, but the next four games will be crazy hard. They better not take any of these opponents lightly, or they could be looking at an upset.
