Last season, Ohio State quarterback Kyle McCord had his share of ups and downs. McCord helped lead the Buckeyes to an 11-1 regular season record, but the only problem was they lost to Michigan for a third straight season.
Ohio State would fail to reach the college football playoffs, and the week after the regular season finished, McCord decided to go to Syracuse through the transfer portal.
McCord played his first game for the Orange on Saturday and did well, throwing for 354 yards and four touchdowns in a 38-22 win against Ohio.
The 21-year-old quarterback looked comfortable on his new team, and going to Syracuse was probably a good move for the veteran quarterback.
Syracuse’s new head coach, Fran Brown, was excited about his new quarterback’s performance and even messaged Ohio State’s head coach, Ryan Day.
Ohio State’s Ryan Day Gets A Message From Fran Brown
After Syracuse’s win on Saturday, Fran Brown stated at his post-game presser,” I should send Ryan Day a bottle of champagne for allowing us to get Kyle McCord.”

Brown seems to be happy with his new quarterback, and I’m sure Ryan Day would love to accept that bottle of champagne because Day didn’t seem to love much of McCord while he was at Ohio State.
Day seems happy with his new quarterback, Will Howard, and it seems like Day and McCord are both happy after their divorce.
McCord gets to go somewhere new and play in a place that has no standards, and Day gets the quarterback he wanted who can come in and run his offense.
It seems like both Day and McCord will have great seasons, and hopefully, Brown does send that bottle of champagne over to Day.
