Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback Will Howard has Ohio State off to a 4-0 start on the season and they are 1-0 in Big Ten Conference play. This weekend, they will host the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Buckeyes are the third-ranked team in the country.
So far this season, Howard has completed 68.9% of his passes for 1,039 yards, eight touchdowns, and two interceptions. He also has rushed for 36 yards on 14 carries and three touchdowns, along with averaging 2.6 yards per carry.
Ohio State Buckeyes Fans Shell Shocked About Will Howard Being a Top 10 Quarterback Draft Prospect
According to Mel Kiper of ESPN, his top three quarterbacks for the upcoming draft are Shedeur Sanders of the Colorado Buffaloes, Carson Beck of the Georgia Bulldogs, and Quinn Ewers of the Texas Longhorns. He had Howard from Ohio State at number 10. This is how fans responded:
Will Howard getting listed simply because he plays for Ohio State. Same energy as Bryce Young getting selected 1st overall when he would have been a 4th round pick if he weren’t on Bama.

There is still time for Howard to move up the rankings, but Cam Ward of the Miami Hurricanes and Jaxson Dart of the Ole Miss Rebels will be drafted ahead of Howard this spring.
Will Howard transfered from Kansas State
Howard played with the Kansas State Wildcats a season ago before playing for the Buckeyes. If Howard leads the Buckeyes to a national title this season, there is a chance that he could be taken higher in the NFL Draft. What helps his game is that he has one of the best freshman wide receivers in the country, Jeremiah Smith.
Kyle McCord was the quarterback for the Buckeyes until he transferred to the Syracuse Orange. One of the biggest games for Howard this season will be against the Michigan Wolverines on Saturday, November 30, two days after Thanksgiving.
