Ohio State Buckeyes fans have not been thrilled about college football games being played at NOON over the years and feel like the start times should be later. Ohio State and the Texas Longhorns will begin the 2025 college football season at NOON ET on Saturday, August 31 in Columbus, Ohio at Buckeyes Stadium.

A lot of Ohio State fans were not thrilled about the game’s start time. Well, there could be hope for the Buckeyes fanbase in the future about the start time of games starting later. There was something recently that occurred in the state of Ohio that could help their cause.
Ohio State Buckeyes Fans React To Bill That Would Prohibit Games Being Played Before 3:30

Craig Meyer of the USA Today Reported about the Buckeyes games in the near future,
“In recent years, Ohio State football fans have become increasingly frustrated with the high volume of noon kickoffs their beloved Buckeyes have been forced to play. One Ohio legislator is hoping to remedy that. Ohio Representative Tex Fischer has authored a bill that would prohibit Ohio State from playing marquee games before 3:30 p.m. ET. A notable exception would be for the Buckeyes’ annual rivalry game against Michigan, which traditionally kicks off at noon.”
This would be a huge relief for Buckeyes fans. Ohio State and Michigan is the biggest rivalry in the college football landscape. However, some fans also commented about this potential bill passing in the state of Ohio. Some fans said:
Ohio rep has bigger problems, but naw lets be lazy and focus on noon kickoffs
On3 probably thinks this is something noble and good🤦♂️

They are at noon because nobody wants to watch them! Hope this helps.

Gotta be the most entitled team and fanbase of all time.

noon should be mostly mid level games save the good ones for prime time

Apparently there aren’t any real problems in Ohio since their legislature has time to waste on this nonsense.

There has been a mix of reactions from the Buckeyes fanbase about this bill and also some other reactions from other college football fans as well. The odds of this bill actually passing may feel like slim, but you never know if it will be passed. A lot of fans would rather see Texas and Ohio State played later in the day rather than at NOON ET in the first week of the 2025 college football season.
