The NFL world seemed a little upside down on Sunday when the Kansas City Chiefs lost their first game of the season. The Chiefs lost by two scores to the Buffalo Bills in a 30-21 game at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York.
Not surprisingly, some NFL fans blamed the officials for the outcome of the much-anticipated contest between two AFC rivals that are contending for the No. 1 seed.
The Chiefs entered the Week 11 matchup with a 9-0 record. With the win streak and recent Super Bowl history on their side, many fans have complained during games this season that the league helps to prop up Kansas City via officiating.

However, Chiefs fans were the ones complaining about calls during their road game against Buffalo. Fans thought the refs missed everything from offensive pass interference by the Bills to a facemask by quarterback Josh Allen.

Insider drops a message to complainers
Pete Sweeney with Arrowhead Pride had a message for Chiefs fans about the questionable calls.
“Complaining about officiating is lame, no matter who’s doing it. Worth reiterating,” Sweeney posted on X.

Not all Chiefs fans agree with the message
Not all of Kansas City’s upset fans were receptive to the message.
“I think it’s catharsis for Chiefs fans because we get the brunt of it every week,” one fan wrote.
“Acknowledging what happened and complaining are not the same thing,” posted another.
“No blaming the loss on officiating is lame,” agreed a fan. “But having a set of eyes and being upset over a crucial part of the game is human. If only the NFL cared about having a good product.”
“Officiating decides games, it shouldn’t” argued one poster. “It’s frustrating to have to see it happen. It needs to be highlighted. Officiating has gotten worse over the years. No debate about it.”
“Merely pointing out a bad missed-call is not complaining. Who made you the arbiter on this,” questioned one fan.
“Chiefs are losing because of their offense but are you saying that wasn’t OPI,” asked another.
