Odell Beckham’s career, once appearing en route to being star-studded and accolade-filled, has turned into produced more noise than results in recent years.
Odell Beckham Jr.’s Career A Continual Contradiction
Although Beckham played a crucial role in the Los Angeles’ Rams win against the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI after his midseason introduction to the team in November 2021, essentially all of his individual awards and achievements; 3 Pro Bowls and 2 Second Team All Pros – alongside his Offensive Rookie of the Year; came within the first 3 years of his professional career.
After signing with the Baltimore Ravens for a one year contract worth an eyebrow raising $15 million – particularly for a 30 year old coming off an ACL tear 16 months prior, OBJ made a reasonable contribution to the top seeded 13-4 Baltimore Ravens’ impressive regular season. However, he was unable to help get the Ravens over the ubiquitous hump in the AFC, known commonly as the “Kansas City Chiefs”.
Despite no longer being a premier free agent wideout target, Beckham Jr. is still very much on the radar of receiver needy teams. Yet, Odell has now confirmed that he will not be joining one team, per his Instagram, via Ari Meirov.

Odell Beckham Jr. Officially Not Returning To The Baltimore Ravens
The goodbye on Odell Beckham Jr.’s Instagram more or less confirms what was already likely after the Ravens cut Beckham at the start of free agency earlier this week. Although, due to the way the contract was structured, he was almost certainly going to be cut regardless.
Although his relationship with quarterback, Lamar Jackson, certainly started to blossom towards the second half of the season, it always seemed a bit of stretch that OBJ would run it back with Baltimore, especially considering the impressive seasons of wide receiver, Zay Flowers, and backup tight end, Isaiah Likely, who will be in line to take up a more prominent role in the offense alongside All Pro tight end, Mark Andrews, and any potential new additions in this year’s draft.
On Beckham Jr.’s end, a return to the New York Giants would not necessarily seem inconceivable, due to big holes at the WR 1 and WR 2 positions. The Pittsburgh Steelers, who recently traded Diontae Johnson to the Carolina Panthers, could also be a viable option to snap up his services to pair alongside George Pickens and the recently acquired, Van Jefferson.
