The North Carolina Tar Heels lost to the Clemson Tigers over the weekend by a final score of 38-10. North Carolina has a 2-3 record this season and so does Clemson.

The story around the Tar Heels football program has been head coach Bill Belichick. This is his first season with the program as head coach, and many are wondering if he will coach past the 2025 college football season. North Carolina will be on a bye this week before they have to head to the west coast and face the California Golden Bears for another ACC Conference game.
College Football Analyst Questions If the North Carolina Tar Heels Should Keep Bill Belichick Around For the Long Haul Or Not

Josh Pate of on3.com posted on his Twitter something interesting about his thoughts about the North Carolina football program. Pate said,
“North Carolina needs to decide whether they’re going to act in the best interest of their football program or Bill Belichick.”
There has no doubt been some distractions this season with Belichick and other things. He has not allowed the New England Patriots scouting department into the building for some strange reason. Belichick must still have some beef with the Patriots after he left the team a couple of years ago.
North Carolina football does not have the talent on the roster, but they feel like Belichick is way past his coaching prime. He is 73 years old. Some Tar Heels fans and other college football fans think that they should move on from him after the season. A name that could be a potential fit for this North Carolina football program could be Penn State Nittany Lions head coach James Franklin.
