Aaron Rodgers and his representation are set to have a busy time next week trying to find employment for the quarterback who will turn 42 during the 2025 season.
The New York Jets parted ways with Rodgers after two disappointing seasons. The four-time NFL MVP was out for all but a series in 2023 due to injury. The Jets finished 5-12 in 2024.
Rodgers has the most accolades of any quarterback set to hit free agency, but he might not be the most popular fish in the pond.
Las Vegas Raiders had no interest in a four-time NFL MVP

Per Mike Florio with Pro Football Talk, the Las Vegas Raiders had “no interest” in signing Rodgers in free agency before pulling off a trade with the Seattle Seahawks for Geno Smith.
“Only a day or two before signing the new contract, Crosby said he’d like Rodgers to join the Raiders. So why aren’t the Raiders and Rodgers talking? The source made it clear that the Raiders simply weren’t interested in Rodgers,” Florio wrote. “The source then said, ‘I think Pete [Carroll] wants Geno Smith.’
“Now that Carroll has Smith, Rodgers definitely won’t go to the Raiders. The (New York) Giants remain the most likely destination, mainly because there’s no other obvious choice.”
Aaron Rodgers to the New York Giants?

Rodgers actually had a better season statistically for the Jets than he had in his final season with the Green Bay Packers. He finished with 3,897 yards passing, 28 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. However, it took a trade for Davante Adams to do it.
NFL teams will have to decide if bringing in the quirky quarterback is worth the drama that goes with it.
Maybe the Giants are the only team desperate enough to take that risk.
