Nick Saban will go down as one of — if not the greatest — college football coaches of all time.
The Alabama Crimson Tide produced a dynasty under Saban and it’s widely considered one of the top jobs in college football.
After 17 seasons leading the Tide program, leaving some legendary shoes to fill in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Saban went 292-71-1 overall as a head football coach throughout his career including an absurd 201-29 at Alabama with six national championships
Two weeks ago, the Alabama athletic department added Saban’s name to their home stadium, making him a part of Crimson Tide football forever.

Alabama’s home field will now be known as Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium
Nick Saban was on hand for the ceremony and thanked everyone involved for helping him lead Alabama football to so much success.
“Your support has always been the best in the country in terms of how you have supported Alabama athletics and how you’ve supported the football program and how you have supported us so I thank you so much, we appreciate it more than you know,” Saban said.
“It’s a great honor to have a field named after the legacy that we have been able to create here, but I want this legacy to represent every player who played and worked hard, every coach who helped those players develop, our administration who set a foundation for us to be successful by providing all the resources we needed to be to have the best program in the country,”

Nick Saban always ran a tough program, but with the success over the years, was able to attract the top talent in the country.
While he was known for being tough on the media and giving short responses during press conferences, the former Crimson Tide front man has made a successful transition to television, where he serves as an analyst for College Gameday.
The longtime ESPN college football pregame show has seen record viewership since Saban joined the cast and it appears he’s content in retirement and has no plan to return to coaching.
With the election coming in November, many have speculated where Saban lands politically. And he’s given plenty of information in his past to reveal where he stands, which is shocking to many fans.
Nick Saban Has Made Shocking Political Stance Abundantly Clear

Saban is a West Virginia native who coached college football for decades in the South. That sounds like someone who would probably lean right, right? But maybe not. Over the years, Saban has made it clear which way he leans politically and it’s a surprise to many.
While the former Alabama head coach hasn’t publicly endorsed Donald Trump or Kamala Harris, he’s made public statements in the past that lead people to assume he’s a Democrat.
Nick Saban has indicated over the years that he does care about professional politics and is at least a little bit—emphasis on ‘a little bit’—of a Democrat. The former coach, a native West Virginian, is a longtime friend of retiring Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin and endorsed him in his 2018 reelection. In 2022 Saban signed a letter urging Manchin to help pass voting rights protections, though Saban later clarified by way of a media leak that he did not support going around the filibuster,” college football reporter Alex Kirshner wrote for Slate earlier this year.
“Saban said last year that college football players should be unionized and explained to an interviewer, ‘General Motors and the automotive industries had unions for a long time and they survived fairly well.’ Saban is a registered voter in Alabama, but the secretary of state’s office doesn’t list a party affiliation. Saban’s agent, Jimmy Sexton, did not reply to emailed questions about whether Saban would have any interest in running or under which party affiliation.”
No matter where he stands politically, there’s no arguing Nick Saban will go down as one of the best college football coaches of all time,
